Malte Polli-Holstein Strengthens Amptown System Company as Key Account Manager for Major Projects

A change of roles for Malte Polli-Holstein: the entertainment consulting expert has been docked at ASC since 1 September and is supporting Managing Director and Company Founder Ulrich Müller and his team in dealing with all the requirements of maritime and complex projects. With around 20 years of practical experience in cruise ship industry entertainment, he knows the special requirements for AV technology in this segment and will enrich the ASC team in future with his expertise in consulting, service, and support onshore and offshore.

Malte Polli-Holstein comes from Buchholz / Nordheide, near Hamburg, and studied to become an audio engineer in Hamburg and Zurich. With that degree under his belt, the 40-year-old has worked as a Technical Manager and Sound Designer for AIDA Cruises for 15 years. Since 2012, Malte has also been known to many industry professionals as the owner and managing director of a consulting firm for technical and creative entertainment. Malte can look back on the successful construction supervision and commissioning of ten cruise ships over the course of his career.

“In recent years, Amptown System Company has developed into one of the leading contact partners for international shipping companies and shipyards when it comes to media and entertainment technology,” explained Malte. “The internal structures at ASC are consistently oriented toward the aim of creating new worlds of experience for guests on board the cruise ships together with partners in shipyards and at shipping companies. I want to be available to our customers as an expert contact and sparring partner for new concepts. I can build on a strong team and good infrastructure at ASC and bring my creative focus on sound and system design back into play with renewed vigor. We are currently in the middle of developing innovative AV system solutions for a new ship class that will make the ASC motto ‘Cruising into the future of entertainment’ a reality.”

Ulrich welcomed the new arrival: “With Malte, we have gained someone who is recognised in the industry as a pro in the areas of event technology, sound design, and the specification and planning of entertainment installations. We have known each other for years through working together for AIDA ships and are now meeting on a level playing field. I value Malte on a personal level and I am happy that he has now decided to strengthen the ASC team with his experience in system integration for shows, musicals, and events. It is a good feeling to know I can reliably delegate tasks and make ASC fit for the future.”
