Cambodia’s W CLUB brand has a new home on the country’s southern coast, in the port city of Sihanoukville. It’s the second location after the flagship in the capital, Phnom Penh, already established itself as one of the country’s beloved electronic-music venues. The brief for the new Sihanoukville site was to go bigger still, as the venue owners set out to build one of the largest nightclubs in Southeast Asia, built around DJ sets and live EDM performances for crowds expecting intensity every night. Fitting the space with a powerful audio solution was therefore paramount.
The job went to FEEL SOUND, a Cambodian audio integrator that also happens to be NEXO’s exclusive distributor in the country. FEEL SOUND CEO Mr. Kunliang Su explained that the pitch process was competitive. “Many brands competed for this project,” he began. “Ultimately, our team gained the trust of W CLUB’s investors through accurate acoustic simulation and meticulous attention to detail. We feel very honoured.”
In practice, that meant showing investors how the finished room would perform before a single box went in, with Mr. Su detailing that the installation team presented the venue with coverage maps and predicted output alongside the product list. The brief itself, as Mr. Su put it, was “to build a landmark indoor electronic music party venue in Southeast Asia, delivering a festival level experience every single night.”
