Powersoft has appointed Hernán Domínguez as Americas distribution sales regional manager, reporting to Fabrizio Bolzoni, distribution sales manager.
Based in Mexico City and travelling frequently across the region, Domínguez will lead the company’s sales and distribution strategy throughout Latin America and Canada.
In the role, Domínguez will be responsible for aligning regional sales strategy with Powersoft’s global objectives and for developing and managing the company’s network of distributors, dealers and system integrators across LATAM and Canada.
He will take the lead on key account management, building relationships with major integrators, consultants, rental companies and specifying professionals.
He will also work closely with Powersoft’s applications engineering, product management, marketing and technical support teams to coordinate technical and commercial activity in the region.
Alongside channel management, a significant part of the brief is market development, extending Powersoft’s reach beyond its established customer base into new applications and verticals.
This will include raising the brand’s visibility through training, product demonstrations, technical events and customer visits. Domínguez will also coordinate local sales representatives and commercial resources, introducing common sales methodologies and KPIs across the region.
Domínguez joins Powersoft with extensive commercial experience in the Latin American professional audio market.
He spent almost a decade at Sennheiser, supporting business and sales development initially across South America and subsequently in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, with a particular focus on the corporate, higher education and government sectors.
“The most valuable thing I bring to this role is the commercial knowledge I have built up in the Latin American market over many years, and I want to put that to work supporting Powersoft’s growth,” says Domínguez, commenting on his appointment.
“My immediate priority is to get to know our existing customers and distributors, our competitive positioning, and the verticals where Powersoft has the greatest opportunity. From there, the goal is to continue to build a sustainable and scalable business across LATAM and Canada.”
Domínguez sees opportunity for the brand to expand in the region over the coming years, moving from a premium amplification specialist to a wider audio technology and solutions partner, and being specified earlier in the design process.
“Powersoft’s strongest assets are the combination of technology, brand credibility, product breadth, the software ecosystem and the potential within the channel, all supported by an ability to solve increasingly complex audio applications,” Domínguez explains.
“ArmoníaPlus, system monitoring, networking and cloud-based management mean we can offer consultants and integrators considerably more than amplification alone, and that is the conversation I want to be having at the design stage.”
Welcoming Domínguez to the business, Fabrizio Bolzoni adds: “Latin America and Canada represent significant opportunity for Powersoft and getting the full value of our technology into those markets means being present where the decisions are being made. Hernán will help us build that local presence, bringing an established network and a clear, structured approach to developing distribution. I am delighted to welcome him to the team and look forward to seeing our partners and customers across both regions benefit from his experience.”
