Wilmington, Delaware and Las Vegas, Nevada-based Main Light has invested in Robe BMFL FollowSpot LT lighting fixtures and motion cameras, boosting its existing inventory of RoboSpot remote follow spotting systems.
The company first invested in this technology shortly after the RoboSpot launch in 2017. Since then, Robe has developed and refined the system, most recently with the introduction of the BMFL FollowSpot LT, a solution for larger venues – covering greater throw distances. Robe has also increased the number of moving light ranges that can be controlled by RoboSpot BaseStations.
Mullican praised the system’s ease of use and set up, which allows for those with experience of operating a followspot the ability to become a competent RoboSpot operator. “We are seeing RoboSpot systems appear increasingly on lighting specs and riders across all sectors,” said Main Light General Manager, Randy Mullican.
In addition to this recent investment, Main Light purchased Robe ESPRITEs and FORTEs, following the opening of the firm’s Las Vegas office and warehouse, Main Light West.
Main Light’s Robe inventory includes BMFL Spots and WashBeams, Tetra1s and Tetra 2s, Spikies, Pointes and MegaPointes. “They are all quality-built fixtures that have proved extremely reliable over the years,” said Mullican, praising Robe CEO, Josef Valchar, Sales Director, Harry von den Stemmen, and the “fantastic” team at Robe North America who offer “outstanding service and are brilliant people” to deal with.
