Issue 26.2

Here at mondo*dr, we’ve kicked off 2016 in style with our January/February issue, which features an interview with Mark Brown, the man behind eclipse Staging Services. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Mark is certainly an interesting subject and we’ve got an in-depth look at his impressive career so far – well worth a read!

We’ve also got our Product Guide, which focusses on Special Effects. There’s a huge range of products featured, from fog machines and hazers, right through to pyrotechnics. If you’re looking to create a real atmosphere in a nightclub or theatre, the Product Guide really is the ideal starting point.

Elsewhere, we’ve dedicated our Report to Theatres and Concert Halls, with a look at venues across the world. We also have a show report from JTSE in Paris, as well as a closer look at the launch of the X-Series range of loudspeakers from L-Acoustics.

In the venue section, we report on the huge audiovisual installation on the Anthem of the Seas ship completed by Amptown Systems Company. Elsewhere in the EMEA region, Rob Allen introduces us to Supperclub in Amsterdam, where interior design agency, Concrete, have transformed the former 17th century brewery with some key technical upgrades. Over in The Americas, we look at the work Sound Image has done at The Observatory to create the best live music venue in San Diego. Plus, there’s also a report on the National Gallery in Singapore, which, after 10 years in the making, has opened its doors to showcase the finest Southeast Asian art and culture.
