AVIXA Appoints Experienced Account Manager for Northern Europe

John Van Hoop

AVIXA™, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, is delighted to announce the appointment of John van Hoop to the position of Account Manager, Northern Europe. John brings to the association more than 20 years of professional sales and account management experience, which has been accumulated across a range of industry sectors, including IT and technology.

John is based in the Netherlands, and will work closely with AVIXA members in the Benelux, Scandinavian and Nordic regions to grow business and promote audiovisual technology and experiences into new areas and markets.

“We’re really looking forward to John joining the AVIXA team,” commented Pamela Taggart, Senior Director of Development Europe at AVIXA. “With our recent rebrand it is an exciting, and busy, time for us. We remain committed to our core programs, including trade shows, certification, standards, professional training, market intelligence and others — and of course, we have ISE just around the corner — which will prove an ideal opportunity for John to meet many members. The appointment of someone with John’s experience ensures we have the team in place to grow our profile in the Northern Europe region.”

“I’m looking forward to getting on with the challenges ahead,” said John. “I couldn’t think of a better time to start with AVIXA and it’s going to be a great opportunity for me to build relationships with the AVIXA members in the region and explain the many benefits of membership to new audiences.” AVIXA’s Certified Technology Specialist™ (CTS®) certification continues to grow in Europe, with more certified members reaping the benefits of the leading AV professional credential. In 2018, AVIXA will also be looking to set up a Central European advisory group of industry volunteers to nurture leadership, develop and increase resources and deepen the awareness of AVIXA programs and benefits among member companies.
