Paul Brazil has joined TMB’s global Customer Development team. Based in the UK, with almost 20 years of experience, TMB notes Brazil brings a wealth of knowledge in production and staging technology, operations, and product applications across live events, theatre, and high-end film and television.
Born and raised in London, Brazil earned a degree in History and Politics. During his studies, he spent summers working for PRG—loading lorries, cleaning cables, and learning the ropes of the industry firsthand. After graduation, he returned to the world of lighting, beginning as a “lampy” at Essential Lighting before moving into a sales role at White Light.
Brazil’s career took a pivotal turn when a former manager introduced him to the film and television lighting world. He joined Richard Martin Lighting, where he progressed from Technician to Warehouse Manager, overseeing rental inventory and equipment maintenance. He later joined Light Initiative, where he spent seven years in senior leadership roles, including Head of Warehouse & Service and Head of Asset Management & Logistics. There, he managed extensive fleets of both custom and conventional lighting kit on gigs for TV and Corporate, plus Music Videos and Experiential Projects—contributing to some truly groundbreaking productions.
“I was a TMB customer for nearly 15 years and always admired the company’s ethos, exceptional service, and high-quality products,” said Brazil. “With 17 plus years of experience spanning sales, logistics, and production, I’m proud to now bring that perspective to TMB and our customers.”
Brazil’s technical expertise includes LED lighting, creative rigging, power distribution, proprietary control protocols, and fixture repair and diagnostics—making him a valuable technical resource for TMB and our customers.
“Paul brings a rare blend of technical depth and operational know-how, along with a really great, positive attitude” said Roland Rizk of TMB. “His hands-on product experience—both in the shop and on-site—will make him an ideal partner for customers facing complex lighting and control challenges.”
Based in London, Brazil joins TMB’s established Global team, working primarily in the UK and EMEA, alongside Lauren Drinkwater, Tim Obermann, and Nick Berenok, under the leadership of Roland Rizk.
