Peter Abery Joins Marquee AV on Production Lighting

Marquee AV is continuing the expansion of its production and theatre lighting operations with the appointment of Peter Abery as Project Manager.

Senior Project Manager, Rob Whitaker, said, “Having recently taken on Paul Barker, the addition of Peter Abery now completes a very strong team to handle the lighting, audio and video requirements for projects of any size or complexity.”

Abery has formerly worked for several specialist lighting installers, interspersed with extensive freelance work in television broadcast lighting for the BBC and ITV. He also enjoyed a spell in professional repertory theatre as head of the technical department and in house lighting design at the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch.  He has many lighting projects to his credit, including installations at York Theatre Royal, Wells Cathedral School Concert Hall, BBC New Broadcasting House, Redbridge College, Greenwich University TV Studio, London Studios’ Studio 1 and Fountain TV.

Peter Abery commented, “I’m very happy to be joining Marquee AV at a time when the company is substantially growing its production lighting business. I’ve worked with Rob and Paul on previous projects and look forward to providing lighting to the same standards of quality and technical excellence that Marquee has always applied to its installations.”

Mark Brown, Managing Director, concluded, “We’re very pleased to welcome Peter to Marquee AV. His experience, combined with previously working alongside the existing team, means he fits right in on the projects we already have underway and starting shortly. Finding the right people with technical expertise across audio, video and lighting is really proving its value to venues and main contractors in the way we can integrate and manage projects.”
