Projection specialists Norxe will exhibit at this month’s IAAPA Expo for the first time, showcasing its new P20 4K 3DS projector – a solid-state RGB laser projector, with native 4K resolution, designed specifically for themed attractions.
At just 22.5kg, the P20 4K 3DS is the world’s smallest true 6P RGB laser 3D projector. But its innovation is not only size, it’s the unique combination of performance factors never before offered together.
The implementation of Infitec’s 6P colour separation, producing stunning 3D stereoscopic images with consummate brightness and colour depth, is a feat unique in a small platform projector, said the Norwegian manufacturer.
This technology speeds up the deployment and reduces the cost of 3D environments, as there are no special requirements, such as silver screens – instead, the technology can be deployed on a standard white screen.
Norxe’s projectors have been successful in many markets, such as simulation, control room, and visualisation applications and planetariums.
Now in its 10th year, the business is bringing its innovation and expertise to the visitor attraction market with the launch of the P20 4K 3DS, which it said sets a new benchmark in dark-rides, with its 3,800 lumens/eye equipment certified up to 3G for motion platforms.
The expo takes place 18-21 November, and Norxe will be occupying booth 5941 – a perimeter site that allows the P20 4K 3DS projectors to be seen in action.
For Norxe, rock-solid reliability comes as standard, offering 50,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, with no colour wheels, phosphor wheels or any replaceable parts in the optical path, all coupled with DLP technology to ensure the peak of imaging quality.
The P20 4K 3DS also benefits from near-REC. 2020 colour space, thanks to the solid-state RGB illumination, giving unprecedented colour reproduction for 1-Chip DLP projectors, with lifelike visuals.
Rec. 2020 provides more than twice the colour of Rec. 709 projectors and 41% more than DCI-P3, ensuring venues can better represent real-world colours, all delivered without on-screen artefacts, thanks to the true RGB laser.
Rounding off the core features, each projector is supported with a 240Hz refresh rate pr. eye, with smear reduction ensuring even the most demanding fast scenes are perfectly reproduced.
The P20 is fully compatible with the Norxe Unify software platform, allowing central control and access to a multitude of features used for installation, control and monitoring of any number of projectors.
