Live Design International (LDI), North America’s largest trade show for the live entertainment technology and design industry, is partnering with the NAB Show, the largest tradeshow in the broadcast industry—LDI@NAB Show—to provide training to the broadcast design community, starting with this year’s NAB conference in Las Vegas, April 22-27.

The LDI@NAB Show collaboration will get the ball rolling with a special session, “From Stage to Screen and Back,” on Thursday, April 27 at 12:30pm; coffee and snacks will be served immediately after the session.

LDI@NAB Show: From Stage to Screen and Back
As the lines between live entertainment and broadcast entertainment continue to blur, there has been a convergence of the tools these content creators employ to create. Broadcast tools can be found in workflows for concerts, theatre and large-scale events. And the television and film industries are relying more and more on designers who specialise in live events to create content that is more engaging and immersive. Join projection designer Zachary Borovay and production designer Patrick Dierson for a presentation on the convergence of live and filmed entertainment and what the future holds for our collaboration.

Two-time Drama Desk award nominee Zachary Borovay is a visual storyteller whose work has been seen all over the globe. He has designed projections for Broadway, Las Vegas spectaculars, circuses, concerts, theme parks, operas, museums, corporate events and art installations.

Based in Las Vegas, Patrick Dierson has built an impressive career designing the lighting, projections, and sets for large-scale concerts, broadcast television specials, and corporate events. The LDI@NAB Show collaboration will continue at LDI2017, November 13-19, 2017 in Las Vegas with a special series of “Live to Broadcast” sessions presented at LDI in conjunction with the NAB Show.
