Powersoft’s flexible and high-performance T Series amplifiers were chosen to drive a powerful, high-fidelity sound system at Sky Bar, a vibrant rooftop venue in Ba Ria Vung Tau, Vietnam.
Located on the top floor of the four-star Premier Pearl Hotel, Sky Bar offers panoramic views of Vung Tau’s ocean and city, making it the ideal destination for tourists to enjoy a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
To match its stunning visuals, the venue needed a high-quality, high-power sound system that would also withstand the harsh coastal conditions, such as wind and sea salt.
Tasked with the installation was Hoang Phu Sound, also a consultant on the project and a partner of Universal Procurement Systems Vietnam Co. Ltd (UPSV), Powersoft’s distributor in Vietnam, which chose Powersoft’s T Series amplifiers and Bose Professional speakers to deliver an energetic and lively ambience for the patrons.
To meet the end user’s requirements for a powerful sound system, Hoang Phu Sound installed Powersoft’s 8000W, four-channel T904A and two 6000W, four-channel T604A amplifier platforms to deliver powerful and clear sound that’s suitable for dynamic events.
“The T Series offered a compact size with powerful performance, which was perfect for Sky Bar,” said Nguyen Luong Niem, technical manager at UPSV.
The T Series were installed in the central equipment rack, near the bar area, for easy access for maintenance and monitoring.
Accompanying the Powersoft amplifiers were Bose AMU208 full-range speakers and Bose MB210WR subwoofers (Bridge Mode in Powersoft T604A). The system tuning and adjustments were easily done via Powersoft’s ArmoníaPlus System Design software for the best performance.
“ArmoníaPlus software allowed the team to configure and fine-tune remote adjustments with ease and efficiency while ensuring that the system performed optimally,” explained Nguyen Luong Niem.
According to him, Powersoft was the perfect choice for this installation because of the compact size of the amplifiers, along with their powerful performance, high efficiency and five-year warranty, which met the project’s requirements for long-term reliability.
“Before using Powersoft, we faced issues with inefficient energy usage and heat dissipation in large sound systems, especially in high-demand environments,” he said.
“After switching to Powersoft’s T Series, these issues were resolved with the help of Powersoft’s Smart Rails Management technology, which recycles reactive energy and reduces heat dissipation while also improving energy efficiency.”
The installation at Sky Bar posed a series of technical challenges: tight installation deadlines and limited equipment space, as well as demanding acoustic expectations, which all played into the system design.
“This sound system required high volume, powerful bass and clear mid-highs due to the involvement of DJs,” explained Nguyen Luong Niem. “Powersoft’s T Series offered the perfect solution thanks to its compact size and robust power output.”
One of the critical considerations for the Sky Bar sound system was the venue’s exposure to harsh coastal conditions. Located by the seaside, the system faces constant challenges from high winds and the corrosive effects of sea salt in the air, which can degrade equipment.
Powersoft’s T Series amplifier platform, known for its robust design, proved to be an ideal choice, delivering reliable performance.
Despite the challenges, the easy-to-tune sound system now boasts exceptional sound quality optimal performance and remote connectivity. “Powersoft’s amplifiers provided the team with stable amplification, ensuring perfect sound performance at all times,” explained Nguyen Luong Niem.
“T Series delivered not only power but also reliability and ease of integration. Using Powersoft allowed us to meet the high expectations of both the client and Sky Bar’s patrons, all while navigating the unique challenges of the coastal environment,” Nguyen Luong Niem concluded.
“The end user is extremely happy with how the system has transformed the Sky Bar experience, making it more engaging and enjoyable for guests.”
