Paisley Abbey installs new Dynacord sound system

A new Dynacord sound system at Paisley Abbey in Scotland has allowed the historic church to continue its community service with user-friendly presets that activate appropriate parts of the PA as needed.

The previous sound system was dated at 30 years old, and inadequate for the increasing amount of special events held at the church.

Local event company Adlib was recommended and installed a sound system solution from Dynacord featuring the MXE5 Matrix Mix Engine for high-level processing and control, and SONICUE Sound System Software for system configuration and customizing user-friendly control for the TPC-1 Touch Panel.

Easy system control is available through an iPad or the TPC-1 controller, allowing scene recall and level adjustment.

The solution includes two IPX5:4 multi-channel amplifiers and a C1300FDi amplifier for ample power.

TS loudspeaker cabinets from the vertical array series were chosen for their performance and aesthetics. The installation also incorporates a Dante audio infrastructure for reduced cabling.

Adlib overcame challenges related to the positioning of loudspeakers in the historic building that was founded in 1163, ultimately finding a satisfactory solution that met all aesthetic requirements.

The Abbey was highly satisfied with the results and appreciated the versatile sound system’s ability to fulfil the diverse needs of the congregation.
