Big Interview: Sennheiser

The Sennheiser name isn’t just on its products; the family behind the brand is equally as foundational to the company’s identity as the renowned audio systems that shape its portfolio.

Now in its third generation of leadership, Daniel and Andreas Sennheiser pilot the business through dual CEO roles, following in the footsteps of their father, and his father before him.

MONDO-DR speaks to the brothers as the company enters its 80th year of operation, marking a notably more upbeat occasion than when the magazine last caught up with them five years prior. Back then, Sennheiser’s 75th anniversary was bittersweet, with celebrations postponed due to the global pandemic.

Asked how they will be commemorating the 80th birthday, Andreas replied: “We’re recognising that we have always delivered the best and most truthful audio experiences reliably, thus creating the future of audio over eight decades.

This path was not always a straight line, so we want to celebrate by discussing our rich history, sharing the stories behind the products, milestones, and successes, but also the failures and struggles. Further, we want to make sure we use this time to honour the meaningful relationships we have built over the years.”
