Company: Light Converse

LightConverse is a real-time lighting and laser simulation software that allows you to pre-program and visualize your show in a photo-realistic 3D view. Recent developments to the software include the ability to receive live incoming Ethernet data from Pangolin professional laser design software (direct connectivity with other laser design platforms will also be available in the near future).
Once you have set up your venue and positioned your laser fixtures in LightConverse, assigning the virtual lasers to incoming laser data is very straightforward. From then on, any changes made in the laser design software will be reflected immediately in the 3D view of LightConverse.
The advantages of being able to see how your laser beams react in a realistic 3D world allow you to save precious programming time. Prospective clients can be given a fly-through presentation before a single actual fixture is hung, thus increasing creative possibilities and decreasing any potential misunderstandings about how the final show will look. Furthermore, instant still renderings and live video of the virtual show can be captured and sent to far-off clients for additional collaboration.
Besides lasers, the software offers complete libraries of conventional and moving light fixtures, LED’s, staging, trussing, pyrotechnics, and many other objects. It is also possible to show live or recorded video on surfaces within the program. Setting up your virtual show is quite easy as the software is built on an advanced 3D gaming engine and anyone familiar with modern gaming programs and CAD lighting programs will be able to get a show up and running quickly. The quality of visualization is life-like as complete photometrics are calculated for all lighting and laser instruments. LightConverse and Pangolin laser software can simultaneously be run on either the same or separate computers as desired.
