Laseronics are combining the latest technology to operate laser light shows under the complete control of an iPhone. Laseronics now operate laser shows with the most advanced remote control system available. Using Pangolin laser software (LivePro) and the iPhone, dependable wireless remote control of shows are now possible. Laseronics worked with Pangolin Laser Software to work out some of the details and then created a remote access program for the iPhone. Adding a wireless network between the laser computer and the iPhone was the final step. Complete and dependable access allows the projection zones to be set in remote area of each venue. In the past, setting projection zones required walking back and forth between the front of house position and various areas in the venue. This has streamlined the set up and pre show programming.
This application is especially useful when you are forced to set up in an area with an obstructed view. The iPhone remote control allows you walk about the venue and create the exact effects you want! Laseronics first commercial application was an outdoor show on a beach in Florida. The event was an evening dance party event with a live DJ. A Laserist was out on the dance floor using the iPhone and running the show. Party goers noticed the Laserist working with a “phone”, quickly everyone in the surrounding area learned that the lasers were controlled via the iPhone. Future plans are for interactive control from the audience member’s iPhone!
