Halo is a revolution in line array loudspeaker technology - the first line array system to fully utilise the potential of genuine ribbon transducers, as opposed to complicated ribbon emulation or plane-wave generating waveguides. This results in a sonic transparency never encountered before in a system of this type. Halo is aimed at small to medium scale sound reinforcement applications, from corporate & conference work through to theatre & live performance. Housed inside the compact Birch plywood enclosure is a drive-unit compliment rivalling systems of far greater size. Two 6.5” (165mm) neodymium drive units handle low frequencies up to 300Hz, before a signature EM Acoustics UniPhaseTM passive crossover network handles the shift to a second pair of 6.5” (165mm) neodymium midrange drive units. These dedicated midrange devices - with their unusual convex diaphragms - handle frequencies from 300Hz to 2.5KHz. From 2.5KHz to 18KHz, the 160mm x 60mm ribbon transducer - the heart of the system - takes over. Halo is a bi-amplified system to give optimal control over the ribbon drive unit.
