d&b audiotechnik have extended their existing E-Series loudspeaker range with the addition of four new loudspeakers. The new E8 is a two-way multipurpose loudspeaker employing an integrated coaxial driver with neodymium magnet assemblies. The 1” exit HF compression driver and constant directivity horn are accommodated within the circumference of the 8” LF driver. It has either a 90° x 50° or 50° x 90° dispersion pattern (h x v), selected by rotating the horn through 90°. The E12 and E12-D are precision made, high performance two-way multipurpose loudspeakers employing a 1.3” exit HF compression driver and constant directivity horn accommodated within the circumference of a 12” LF driver. The E12 has an 80° x 50° dispersion pattern, while the E12-D has a wider 110° x 50° pattern. All these loudspeakers produce significant output levels given the size and weight ratio and when powered by d&b D12 amplifiers the E8, E12 and E12-D can produce 129, 134 and133 dB SPL (linear weighting) respectively. These three loudspeakers are complemented by d&b’s new E15X-SUB, which is a compact, light weight, high performance subwoofer employing a long excursion 15” neodymium driver in a bass-reflex enclosure. It extends the frequency response down to 40Hz (-5dB) with an output of up to 130dB SPL.
