Tannoy VQ series

The new VQ series from Tannoy is a range of revolutionary loudspeakers designed for any application where precise directional control, outstanding sonic performance, and high SPL’s are critical issues; such as stadiums, dance clubs, live concert halls, theatres and open-air venues. Utilising precision engineering and design, the VQ series can produce enough power and clarity to be used individually unlike traditional line array solutions, making them a potentially more convenient choice for touring/live applications. While the VQ series was initially designed with fixed installation in mind, there has already been a great deal of interest from the tour sector, with VQ having been used with great effect at Cannes Film Festival in May and more recently Glastonbury’s Dance Village. The VQ’s high sensitivity ensures exceptional SPL levels can be achieved with a very modest amount of amplifier power. As an example, the VQ60 will produce 115dB for 1 Watt; and 138dB (144dB peak) for only 200 Watts of amplifier power.
