Peecker Sound Forty Series
The new FORTY Series by Peecker Sound is one of the latest addition to the range The ambition of this new loudspeaker line is to make more accessible the cutting-edge technologies often to be found in speakers within a much higher market price bracket. The FORTY series counts seven different models: five two-way loudspeaker systems (models: 4008, 4010MH, 4012MH, 4015MH and 4030MH, the last three also available in amplified versions - 4012MH/A, 4015MH/A, 4030MH/A) and two subwoofers, both passive (models: 40SW15 and 40SW18) and self-powered (models: 40SW15/A and 40SW18/A). The on-board class D amplifier, weighing just 0.5 kg, is made entirely using switching technology and features an integrated DSP to customize the response of the speakers according to the type of installation. The transducers (the woofers in Neodymium, the drivers in Mylar) are prestige pieces just like the crossover electronics. But the real added value of this line of products consists in the innovative aluminium horn (in the model name, “MH” means “Modeled Horn”), designed adhoc in the Sound Corporation research laboratories and registered as proprietary technology with the abbreviation of A.W.S.H® (Acoustic Wave Shaped Horn).
