KEMPTON GT Series

Kempton’s GT Series polypropylene 45° asymmetrical enclosures feature an original proprietary cabinet design with smooth and flowing lines. The GT12A is a 200W+50W RMS active portable speaker system in 2-way, 12” design with 1” compression driver and a 80°H x 50°V constant directivity horn. The bi-amplification system of the GT12A consists of two independent Class AB amplifiers, one for the LF woofer and one for the HF compression driver/horn. Independent LF & HF Thermal and short-circuit protection circuits are also featured. The Crossover circuitry features an active electronic 24dB/oct Linkwitz-Riley design. The innovative 2-channel on-board mixer with each one featuring: Preamp Gain, Volume, High Frequency EQ, Low Frequency EQ controls, XLR/Jack combo inputs. An XLR-M output jack provides mixed signal output of input channels A and B. The GT12 passive version handles 250W RMS and is equipped with 2 x NL4-pin speakon connectors. The crossover network is constructed with oversize coils, high voltage capacitors and power resistors to provide the best possible sound quality and minimize signal loss. Independent LF and HF overload protection circuits are employed to protect the woofers and HF drivers from failures.
