Cohedra succeeds in Denmark

(Denmark) - Back in August 2007 the Danish rental company NC Electronics joined forces with the HK AUDIO family.
Located in Herning in central Denmark, NC Electronics provides sound for all sorts of events from small fashion shows to large rock concerts in Denmark, the neighbouring islands, and Norway. Nils Nilsen, managing director of NC Electronics, was recently at HK Audio headquarters where he attended a training seminar. Afterwards he made the decision to acquire a HK Audio Cohedra 2 x 8 system, which has since then already been expanded into a HK Audio 2 x 10 system consisting of twenty HK Audio CDR 208 mid/high units and twenty subwoofers.
Nils Nilsen went for the flyable version of the subwoofers, the HK Audio CDR 210 F, and remains deeply impressed with their performance: “When we checked out the system during the training sessions in HK AUDIO headquarters in St.Wendel, we simply could not believe that such compact cabinets could produce such a big sound. We stood 150 metres away from the system as the instructor turned up the sound. We were blown away by the system’s power and extraordinary articulation.“ The 2 x 10 HK Audio Cohedra system with the flyable HK Audio CDR 210 F version of the subwoofer grants NC Electronics the flexibility to handle all kinds of events in every conceivable venue.
That was exactly what Nils Nilsen wanted: “We were looking for a system that could deliver the sound exactly where needed--accurately and evenly in both bass and mid/high regions. This is what the HK Audio Cohedra system delivers. The sound is distributed very evenly, and the entire audience hears it in the same quality from every seat.” For example, shortly before Christmas 2007 NC Electronics provided sound for a series of ten concerts with a 350-member choir. The concerts were attended by four to five thousand people, and the distance between the left and right sides of the system was about sixty metres.
Nilsen: “Members of both the chorus and audience told us they had never heard such good sound. In the past, large choruses had always presented the challenge that individual voices were not clearly defined and did not come through well enough against the volume level of the orchestra. This problem is finally a thing of the past.” After more than one year on the road with Cohedra, NC Electronic recently also invested into a HK Audio Cohedra Compact system with 15 CDR 108 C Mid/High Units for their smaller events. “
We are still absolutely convinced of the HK Audio Cohedra technology, especially in combination with the new FIRNET controller. It was therefore a logical step for us to stick with the same brand when it comes to smaller gigs or completing our existing Cohedra system with outfills or delay lines.” Photo: Nils Nielsen of NC Electronic (right) and Casper Højhus of collaboration Partner Mobil Musik picking up the new HK Audio Cohedra Compact and some more CT 112 monitors at the HK Audio factory in St. Wendel.
