Green Hippo Invests in the Future
31 July 2012
Green Hippo is thrilled to introduce Suzy Casserley as a new member of the technical support and product testing team. Suzy began interning at Green Hippo as part of the technical support team when she was studying a BA Hons Degree in Lighting Programming at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance.
Suzy finished her studies at the end of July 2012 and “really enjoyed her time as an intern” so was excited for the opportunity to work at Green Hippo once she had finished her course. Suzy’s previous experience made her ideal for the position and is already experienced within the technical support area. She enjoys rock climbing and often works as a lighting programmer for shows, therefore truly embracing the whole live entertainment industry.
The company also welcomes Ryan Bye, our new member to the development team. Ryan studied at Warwick University and recently finished his BSc Hons Degree in Computer Science. Before starting university he worked for his dad’s business, and “enjoyed being part of a small company”. Ryan finds graphics and programming interesting, and is enjoying learning new things within his job.
Head of Development Niko Lalas stated: “We’re really excited to have Ryan join the team. He makes an enthusiastic addition to our ever growing team and we’re looking forward to seeing some great things from him.”
And finally, Green Hippo is excited to welcome Shahed Aziz into their internship program, working within the Development team. He worked as a software engineer for four years and is currently studying a Masters degree in Computer Games Technology at City University, London.
“Green Hippo is involved in desktop application programming along with the use of graphics programming which is what I want to do and that is why I decided I wanted to do an internship here," said Shahed.
This now completes Green Hippo’s line up of interns within every department. As the industry continues to grow, our internship program not only benefits the students to gain vital work experience but also benefits the company by bringing in some fresh points of view. We are very happy with the high caliber of our interns, they have all been great additions to our team and each brings their own unique ideas to the mix.
